Things have definitely calmed down since our exciting Halloween festivities have come to an end, and we have had a full week of school. For the week of letter “Tt,” the children painted plates, and colored feet, a tail, a head, and legs, they then added them to the plates they painted to make turtles. The children also put together a tractor using the letter “Tt.” In addition, they made a train on train tracks, all to tie in with the letter “Tt.” There will be no school on Monday in observance of Veteran’s Day. Let us remember all the men and women who fought for our country. Also, the Harvest Festival is coming up! Please help us make this event a success. Your support is very important to your children and the school. I have placed a sign up sheet for the booth Pre School is responsible for on the sign in table. If you are interested in donating any sweets, please sign your child’s name next to yours on the line. Any Donation of ($25 - $30) will earn you a service hour. Also attached is a flyer for shoe donations. Please read it and see if you have anything that you would like to contribute. I would like to start by thanking you for your generous donations for the Halloween Festival. I would also like to thank the parents who volunteered their time setting up and running the booths. The children had a great time, and will remember that you spent this time with them. This week we were on the letter "Kk." We colored, cut and worked on activities with the "Kk" sound. We added the letter "Kk" to the letter book as well. Next week we will be on the letter "Tt," as in turtle, tire, tiger, tooth, and toothbrush. Please have your child bring in a small item with this sound. This is an important part of the curriculum, as we do this activity as part of our language program. Inchworm book orders went home today, they are due on Friday, November 8th. This will be the last opportunity to order books before Christmas,as you know, books make a great gift. If you would like the order as a gift, let Mrs. Richardson know, she will put them in a bag.
